I recently installed the Appeck permanent outdoor lights on my house eaves, and they have completely transformed my home's nighttime look. These lights are incredibly bright—way brighter than I expected from LED strips. Even on the standard white setting, they cast a strong, even glow that lights up the entire front and backyard beautifully. The colors pop vividly too, with tons of scene modes for holidays, parties, or just everyday ambiance.

These are super cute with nice bright color. They add great ambiance to my back yard. Installation was very easy. Unfortunately, one decided it did not want to work along with the rest of the lights a season in. They have made it through two NY winters, and only the one light is not working, so I am happy about that. I plan to order another set or two for the rest of my yard.

Overall very happy with the results post 12 hours of installation. The 3M adhesive tape on the light pucks hold quite well while the tape on the wire clips are inadequate for the install on painted wooden soffits.Took a bit to get the router to send the necessary 2.4ghz signal to connect, but once it all aligned, was connecting quickly. Definitely encourage everyone to read ALL directions before starting.The tails between male and female plugs should match the distance between the lights, but made the most of it and corrected while installing. Pics attached.So far, happy with the purchase. Have three separate 100’ strands. Connected them in a group on the app and they work well together. There are a TON of things to learn on the app and how to maximize the color choices…can’t wait to dig in to that!The quality and brightness of these LED’s are the best I’ve found out there with quality wiring material. Also used #8 - 1” exterior self tapping wood screws to mount the wire clips as the ones sent are subpar at best.

I purchased this in November 2014. The control box quit working in July. I messaged Appeck three times about a warranty replacement but they have not responded. Their website says they have a 12- month warranty.Update: Appeck contacted me and said they will send a white replacement control box since the black one is out of stock and when a black one is available, they will send a black one. I will update my review when the replacement arrives.I received the white replacement control box! Thank you Appeck!

I bought these with the intention of using them just for christmas lights instead of having to hang and take down lights every year especially when it is cold and i have snow or ice on my roof, and after last year having 3 weeks of high winds before christmas i was done with having to go back up on my roof, i searched through all the brands Govee, eufy, etc. and these APPeck were some of the brightest have ip67 rated control boxes and power adapters which most only have ip 65. the fact that i could also cut the strands and place in extensions or shorten the length works great. I also decided on these as i needed almost 350 ft for my whole house and could get a 144W adapter with both 200 ft and 150ft kits was huge, with govee i talked with their customer support and they said i would need to purchase seperate kits and an additional adapter as their 150ft kit came with a 77W adapter. the app was a little tricky for me to figure out at first and my internet on the day i was setting it up was acting funny and would not connect so that was frustrating but having the customization is very nice. so glad i purchase these and never have to go on the roof of this house again

Pro kit allows you to cut and splice as needed. This allows for a clean install. Some reviews on YouTube say these are t as bright as Govee and that may the case but I promise these are most than bright enough. I leave the brightness down on all my displays. Adding a routine through Alexa allows light to come on and off based on sunset and sunrise. These took about 12 hours for me to install making sure all cords were cut to size and lights mounted with screws along with double stick tape.Cons- kit needs to include more extension cords. Mobile app is clearly not designed by someone in the US as designs are limited, misspelled, and colors don’t match watch holiday it is. Ex. Christmas is a the rainbow colors “in order” that fade into each other. The flashing patterns leave more to desire. I would love to see a “twinkling” pattern but that doesn’t exist and no way to program.

I went off the reviewsam incredibly disappointed with these lights, especially considering how much they cost. They are advertised as customizable and claim you can just "cut them and you’re done." That is completely false.I spent half of my Saturday hanging these lights, only for them to refuse to turn on. I then spent half of my Sunday troubleshooting them before finally taking them right back down. I thoroughly tested the setup and confirmed power going into the splice as well as power coming out of the splice. Despite verifying that the correct power is actively present throughout the connection, the lights still will not function. I tried every troubleshooting step possible, and nothing worked.Save your money and your weekend. For this price point, you expect a product that actually works as advertised, not a massive waste of time and energy. I would not recommend these to anyone.

Installation was easy and very satisfied with the quality. Only question I have is how can you select multiple colors at the same time. Specifically red,white & blue for patriotic holidays. I have the C5106A

I got these around 12/25. They went up pretty easy. I had them about 5 months and they stopped working. I contacted Appeck vis email. JOSHUA FROM APPECK responded back in less than a day. I told him what happened, took a Pic of the power supply and he got the replacement part shipped to me in two days. I really like the lights but the service is what will make me buy more from them in the future.

The lights and installation process of these are solid, but the app and interface could use some work. I've had trouble with the timer failing after only a few months. They are beautiful when working properly. It would also be great if more than one person could have the app and run the lights.

It’s been 2 years since I’ve purchased this outdoor strip light. It’s worked out pretty well but recently Ive been having issues of the strip light staying connected to the app and wifi. It may have ran its life course and not working properly. I’ve tried to reconnect the system to the smart app but to no avail. I have to now use the remote control to turn the strip lighting on and off.

I sincerely believe there should be a better more streamlined way to integrate the lights with the clunky app. But all in all, it’s a beautiful thing to beholden. Perfect for holidays and any occasion. Substitute your outside lights for these handy LEDs and instantly save money on your electric bills. Plus, the versatile lighting combinations allow you to celebrate each moment and dramatic fashion. Comes with a remote control for convenience. However, it should be noted, the remote control severely limits your creativity to just five color combinations. And each LED has a sticky underside for easy installation. Loving these lights. And the neighbors enjoy the serenity of them, as well. Beautiful presentation in Fresno, California.

These lights were easy to install if you're patient. They look great on the house. Minus one star because whoever programmed the "christmas" setting in the app has never seen a string of christmas lights in their life.

Updated review (4/5/26): I rate these now a 3/5 vs the original 5/5. Case being, the adhesive that comes with mounting the lights are not durable. All of the light strings we used for the log house have been failing within 3-4 months. Each light set has been mounted under the roof so to avoid rain/snow/wind. They still came off. Of note: the garage / second house did not have the same issue and they were all ordered/received at the same time. The lights do link up to the Alexa and are super user friendly to program, but we are now looking to buy light mounts that aren’t adhesive and will make this purchase worth it. Do not buy unless this comes with a great sale knowing you will need additional reinforcement to ensure they don’t easily detach.When purchased in Nov 2025 (believe it was Black Friday) we got x2 sets of the 150ft for $243/set. Today it’s $450+ for one set of 150ft, so definitely look for sales cause that price point is diabolical!!!Original review Xmas time 2025: This light kit is a great budget-friendly option for all year round lights! We really like how the color choices are programmable to any specific color or flashing/solid sequences (the choices seem endless). A big plus is that we are able control the on/off times using our Alexa— we have them turn on 20-minutes before sunset and off at 0300am.Its AC power, so no dealing with changing out batteries. The adhesive for installing onto the surface area have been reliable. The functionality is impressive and our kids, neighbors, family, and friends all love them and complement them soWe bought x2 of the 150ft kits and that completed both the sides and front of our garage and house. Put up a month ago and still works flawlessly. Takes some time to put up correctly, save yourself and buy better screws with a bigger head. Connected to WiFi or Bluetooth flawless. Can control anywhere in the house and even far away while at work or traveling. App is easy to use but a lot of presets seem useless and quite a few of the different styles in the custom are repetitive. Would be awesome if app had a timer/certain time on/off function. Hoping in the app more options and flexibility for real custom settings. Lights are bright, nice color and like the bright white color! Love that you can literally pick each individual light color for a scheme. The plugs are oversized in my opinion and hard to hide and the lengths of the plug pig tails doesn’t match the rest of the light spacing, but if your take your time, measure spacing they turn out amazing. Hope they update the app for a truly custom lighting experience but with what is there there’s a ton of options. Highly recommend. Also 200ft is aloooot of lights!

The lights come on and are pretty cool, but my issue is with install. I have ranch house without dormers. The only outdoor plug is between the two car garage and front porch about 1/3 of the front porch of the house. There was enough lights to extend about 16ft down the sides of the house. So I could not power one end of the front of the house and go to the other end without using an extension cord.I had seen where you can control individual lights, and I had seen where you can get splitters (for other similar lights), so my plan was to have a group or zone for the garage and one for the front porch. I had confirmed that you could use a splitter, you have to get it from their site for about $65 for a two pack, I just needed one. I tried a couple of splitters on amazon without success. I passed on that, and manually split them using meter to confirm wiring plan.Powered the lights on, and they worked. When when I went to identify the individual lights through their app, I can no longer control individual lights, it controls pairs of lights starting at the split, so I cannot do the scene/design I had been hoping for.There are a couple of other things I have had issues with the app, but I am still trying to figure it out.I would have given higher rating, but I was so frustrated with the loss of individual lights control after all that time on the ladder.

I installed these lights about a month and an half ago. Everything went well. I searched for a company to install them ( I am 74) but gave up after four bids between $600 and $1200. So I took my time and did it myself. Had them going by the 4th of July. Great lights!!! I can’t wait for Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas and the rest of the holidays. I am still changing the display and experimenting with the many different combinations. I have them hooked up thru Alexa via Smart Life. The Appeck software and the Smart Life software are kind of hard to work with but I am learning. The adhesive is weak so I used the screws and clips. Actually bought hex head screws as they are easier to work with. In doing my research the 200’ kit was the best for the money. I connected them outside and bought a waterproof box for the switch and transformer. There was plenty of wiring for the connection and Smart Life makes the interface with the lights and Alexa pretty easy. There was an issue with the screws in the switch and Appeck responded quickly and corrected the issue. I am happy with the company and the lights.
