This low voltage outdoor spotlight and smart bulb make a great pair. I wanted a spotlight to add to my low voltage system and light up our house numbers. While I was hoping for a tighter beam, it turned out well.The fixture is a nice size, well-made with a perfect matte black finish. The metal is thick, and everything is well-put-together with double seals between the lens and the base to keep water out. The plastic steak is surprisingly strong and thick. I expect it to last longer than the typical aluminum steaks since it cannot corrode.One disappointment is that the fixture’s lens is plastic. It’s very clear and thick, but if it’s not UV stable, it could cloud over. I noticed that the lens causes some distortion, of the projected light. You can see this in my two pictures showing the light produced by the smart bulb without the lens and with the lens over the smart bulb.The price for the fixture might seem high at first, but if you consider the cost of a smart bulb like the one included, it’s quite reasonable as a package. Other smart bulbs I’ve installed in my other outdoor lights that are also controllable by the Tuya app and connect to WiFi are around $22 each.The LED smart bulb is packed with features and can be controlled using the Tuya app. I use the Tuya app to control some smart Zigbee devices around our house so this was convenient. Connecting the bulb to WiFi was a breeze. From there, I have a wide range of lighting options to choose from, including changing colors, dimming, and brightening the bulb. Since I’m using this on a low-voltage system that turns on and off every night and morning, I appreciate that the bulb also remembers and restores its last setting. If you connect it to a constant power source, you can set up schedules and more.The bulb also comes with a remote, but I haven’t used it since I prefer to control it with my phone. The bulb is incredibly bright, and the colors it produces are vibrant. The only downside is that it struggles with the distance from the closest WiFi hub, causing frequent connection drops. However, the other bulbs in the same area don’t have this issue but they have small external antennas to help with WiFi. Since I mostly leave the lights in one setting except during holidays, this isn’t a major concern but I do wish it could handle the distance better since this is an outdoor fixture.When I set up the spotlight outside, I found it to be plenty bright for my needs. I dimmed it to 30%, and it easily illuminated the area around our house numbers, which are eight feet up. You can see this in one of my photos.Overall, this is a high-quality smart bulb and spotlight package that I highly recommend as a great value.

The ground stake is plastic, but thick and solid. It should survive a good many summers and winters.The LED bulb contains Bluetooth/Wi-Fi electronics that sync with the remote. Just be aware: if you have multiple lights on the same circuit, they’ll all pair with one remote, which is great if that’s your goal. If not, you’ll have to go through the hassle of disconnecting, pairing, and reconnecting each light individually. Alternatively, you could invest in the LGIDTECH WL-Box2 Miboxer Gateway hub for around $30—not exactly ideal, but adding more than a few of these will save you time.There are a few drawbacks:• The brightness is decent, but I’d prefer them to be brighter. Good for accent lighting.• The lens is plastic and not glass—thick, but it might cloud over time.• The bulb adapter could be better designed. There’s no clear indicator if the pins are aligned, and that could lead to them bending or breaking. Since the light also contains the electronic – not a cheap thing to break!• The remote needs 2 AAA batteries, which aren’t included. For $55, I’d expect them to be part of the package.• The lights require a connector, which is also not included, which feels like it should be part of the deal.• The phone app won’t work without purchasing the gateway hub, and it requires creating an account and sharing personal info with China—not a fan of that.I like these lights, and because of their color versatility, I would buy more, but there's room for improvement.

This light is really sturdy and of higher quality than we were expecting! Love that it comes with full functionality with use of the app, and it was easy to install as well :) It really adds an upgrade to our backyard space!

Lights are very difficult to synchronized to your phone I purchased the miboxer 2 and it only lets me program one light out of the four impossible to get with seller no one else knows instruction sucks

Ok, so this seems really premium. The whole thing is mostly metal! The stake is really thick what seems like plastic. I didn't have to worry about this one too much when putting it in the ground. I like that the cable for it is longer than others I've had, so I have more wiggle room for this when setting it up. At 5 watts, it's not taking up a ton of my transformer's max wattage. I like that. The bulb that comes with it is called the MiBoxer model number FUT104. It's what needs the remote to change the colors. The remote that I use that works with it is the Mi Light FUT089, but it also comes with one...I just use that one as I have a few other lights I had been using before that worked with it and I want to be able to control my lights separately but with 1 remote. I didn't use the included remote yet, but it's a good one and I'm glad it came with it. For the one I DID use, There's a pairing process. You disconnect the power, then within 3 seconds of powering it on, you press the | on one of the numbered buttons (the numbers tell which light it's controlling, and there's a | and a O) on the remote 3 times and it'll blink different colors before going back to whatever color it was on. This light seems stronger than some of the other ones I have despite it saying that it needs 5 watts, and the ones in question need 12 watts. It rained a few times and I've had no issues with it not turning on so far. It doesn't come with any pieces for connecting it to the landscape wire with the power, so you have to supply your own connectors and your own transformer.I'm really happy with this. It works great!
