Outdoor steps do not need to disappear into the dark, and brighter is not always better for a deck or pathway. Add a low-profile wash of colorful light that helps define the route without turning your outdoor space into a glare-filled work zone.
Dark stair edges, patio transitions, and uneven walkways can make guests slow down after sunset. Oversized fixtures can interrupt the look of your deck, while high-output lights often create more glare than comfort.
The right accent light makes the space feel intentional: steps are easier to read, pathways feel connected, and your deck or patio gains a subtle color detail for evenings outside.
The QACA RGB In-Ground Deck & Step Lights are a six-light, low-voltage recessed kit for indoor and outdoor applications. Each compact fixture produces a 4-lumen RGB accent with a 90° beam angle, and the included 5W LED power supply helps you create a clean lighting line along stairs, decks, patios, cabinets, shelving, and garden paths.
- Add a refined accent, not harsh glare: The 4-lumen output and 90° beam angle create focused decorative light for steps, edges, and pathways.
- Build a connected run: Link the lights together with the included cabling, and add additional sets when your layout needs more coverage.
- Use them where the design calls for light: The recessed form works for deck and patio lighting, staircases, garden paths, shelving, cabinets, and other surfaces where you can drill an opening.
- Walk over them with confidence: The solid in-ground design supports walkover pressure up to 220 lb when installed correctly.
- Bring color outdoors: RGB multicolor output, a bronze finish, 304 stainless steel light covers, and IP65 protection add personality while standing up to outdoor use.
They are ideal for deck stairs, patio edges, garden walkways, landscape transitions, indoor shelving, cabinets, staircases, and low-profile lighting projects where a small recessed fixture looks better than a bulky lamp.
- Plan the light positions and drill the required openings in the deck, step, patio, cabinet, or other suitable surface.
- Connect the six lights with the included double cables and 3.28-foot extensions between fixtures, then connect the chain to the 5W LED power supply.
- Plug the power supply in manually to turn the lights on or off. If you add a switch or dimmer, keep every connection properly waterproof; the switch and dimmer are not included.
Each set includes six LED in-ground lights and one 5W LED power supply. The lights use 304 stainless steel covers, PVC wire covers, durable PC construction, and IP65 water resistance. Each bulb uses approximately 0.2W to 0.4W, with a total connected load kept at no more than 80% of the power supply capacity. For the included 8W example, no more than 16 lights at 0.4W each should be connected; use a suitably rated 10W, 15W, or 30W supply for larger runs.
Give your steps and pathways a clean line of color after sunset. Add the QACA RGB In-Ground Deck & Step Lights and make the details of your outdoor space stand out.

Great lights to line our fence with. Love the color options. Look great at night and nearly invisible during the day.Downside is the RF remote must be on the same frequency as someone in our area because the lights change colors and patterns randomly.
My clients and I are very pleased with the final project consisting of 38 lamps. These are super easy to install. I used a 1" hole saw and silicone adhesive caulk to hold the fixtures in place. I used a piece of 12 AWG solid wire with the end bent as shown to push some lamps through a double band board with a 1-1/2" interstitial air gap.
They work great and look even better. Easy to install (even in concrete block). I would have give them five stars if the length of cord between the lights was a 6”-8” longer. So far very happy with purchase. They worked flawlessly for six years until hit by lightning. Just replace them with the same ones. They still look great. great quality looking forward to another six or more years.
I recently purchased 3 sets of these lights for a large deck I built on the back of my house. They've been in use for several weeks now and so far so good. They are bright but have a cover over the top of each light so they don't hit you in the eyes when walking up to them. This was important in my situation as my deck is dual level and the original lights we ordered didn't have the cover and blinded you when you were walking toward the deck. They throw a white light but do not have a blueish tint at all or that fluorescent kind of look that some white LED's have. They cast a natural white light. My eyes are very sensitive to LED lighting and these don't bother me at all. To power them I wired an outlet in a waterproof box with a dusk to dawn sensor so anything plugged in to the outlet will automatically turn on at dusk and off at dawn and they work fine with this setup. The lights come in sets of 10 that include an 8 watt power supply. Each light is .4 watts so 10 of them use 4 watts which is half of what the power supply is rated for. I bought 3 sets of 10 and installed 15 lights on 2 power supplies. 15 lights draw 6 watts of the 8 watts the power supply is capable of and they are at full brightness. I would not recommend putting more than 15 lights on a power supply even though it is rated to handle 20 lights because the power supplies have thermal protection and if they run hot with a full load all the time it will more than likely shorten the lifespan. Even 15 may be too many over time but so far they all work fine and the power supplies do not feel warm so I think it will be ok.I used a 3/4 inch bit to drill the mounting holes and they fit in securely. I recommend putting a bead of clear caulking around the back edge of each light while mounting to prevent rain from getting behind and potentially rotting out your wood over time and to keep them from working their way out. They will be easy to remove with caulking apposed to glue.I spaced the lights 30 inches apart (see pics). I had to buy extensions to get around some of the beams and joists where the joists were doubled. Keep in mind where you may have any nails or screws so you don't start to drill a hole and find you can't get all the way through and are stuck with a hole in your deck with nothing in it. This happened to me but I was able to come in from behind and drill a smaller hole on an angle to meet the light mounting hole in the front and I was able to fish the wires through.I attached 3 pics to my review I took with my cell. The nighttime pic shows the lights sort of 'blooming' but that is a result of the cell camera taking a photo at night. The light surrounding each individual fixture does not look like that when you are actually standing there at night.
The lights were easy to install and not too bright, which is great. I've only had them in a week, so I can't attest to their durability. My only complaint is that all my outdoor lighting is warm white, so I got this set in warm to match, but it is a much lighter/cooler white than all my other lights. So now my steps are a cooler white then the rest of the deck and walkway paths. It's a subtle difference (as you can see in my picture), but still noticeable if you're looking for it. Honestly, I doubt anyone coming to my place will see it, but as the homeowner it is something that I see.
I used these for steps on a side wall. The color of the light is a soft 2700k. They are bright enough but not harsh on the eyes at night. I had to modify the stainless clips to shorted the depth which was an easy modification. Very happy with the quality.
Perfect lighting for deck posts and stair risers. Easy to install in 5/8" holes and with under-railing wiring. The price is right as well!
I like the look of the light, nice soft light. Adequate for each step. We installed every other stair, which works fine for climbing, but recommend lighting each step, for good visibility in the dark for each step going down.So far, one month in, two of the lights are diming and flickering or off.
In short, we needed soft and non glare lighting at our front porch staircase - protecting our family and guests was top priority. Added these to the facia of each step and ... what a great little product! We are using a light sensor to trigger their on and off cycle (probably another Amaze-On resourced product).
I drilled a hole in a scrap piece of 2x4 and used it as a jig so that I had the correct height for every stair. Six feet wide stairs, so three lights per stair. Brightness is fine; I don't want them too bright. Easy to connect.
Looks good and quality seemed to be solid. Hope they will withstand winter and stairway traffic. Time will tell.
First install I added 2 to each 6 ft. step, they're just not bright enough to be that far apart 32-36". After adding more to another 16 ft. step along the back of my deck I put them about 24" apart with better results. I ordered 2 boxes (20 ea.) of these since the bulbs are not replaceable I fear that sooner or later one will go out and I can't fix it. So far I've installed all from the first box, when I needed 2 more out of the second box one of the lights is clearly the wrong color so right now I have 1 yellow vs. 25 cool white. Needless to say I'm going to need to crawl back under the deck, unplug and swap that one out. No telling how many more of the 18 left are yellow..... Overall I really wanted a small, black, eyelid style, LED light and these do fit the bill. I didn't use the included controller, I cut the wire on the last one for each step set and ran a wire to a dimmable 300w IP67 12v LED driver (dimming not needed for these obviously). https://www.amazon.com/UL-Listed-Dimmable-Transformer-Waterproof-Outdoor/dp/B07PVRW4WR?th=1
Love these little lights. They provide the perfect amount of light on my deck stairs at night. Not too bright, not too dim. I have them tied into my landscape lights so they come on for 4-5 hours every day. Installed them 2 years ago and all 15 are working great. I went to find more as I'm going to add them to my new patio steps and decided to leave this review while I order more. Excellent look and quality.
These are perfect for my stairs between patio and deck. Super easy to install (1" hole saw), low profile, ideal brightness and color directed at the surface to illuminate (rather than eyes). I have four left over in case any fail, but so far so good!Update: Four failed after 3-4 years of infrequent use, so those spares came in handy.
The only set back to these is you have to spend as much in extra connection as the cost of the lights to get them connected the 3ft they tell you is maybe 18” each way but that isn’t much if you put them any distance off the ground now I only hope that I get my money’s worth out of these light looks like my total cost will be at 400.00 not happy about that but once you start cutting hole I didn’t have a choice
Great little lights (they are very small). They are easy to install, do a sufficient job of lighting the steps, and have a pleasingly warm white balance. The one thing that I was not expecting and do not like about the lights is that there is about a 3-5 second lag time from when I switch them on to the time they actually turn on. You should note that they do NOT turn on immediately. Besides for the lag time in turning on, they are great little exterior lights.
These are very nice. They are very small but throw out nice soft light. I mounted them in a 100 foot rough cut cinder block wall which was 6 inches thick and placed the lights about 54 inches apart. I also bought the recommended extension cable to do this. I used a 1 inch concrete bit and install a 3/4 inch PVC pipe in the hole. The lights slide into this hole very nicely and made a wonderful looking retaining wall. I would recommend these lights to any body. When I ordered the light, the delivery date was 5 to 7 weeks. They arrived in one week. Thanks to Amazon my project came out beautiful.
These are very nice. They are very small but throw out nice soft light. I mounted them in a 1 1/2 x 1 1/2" wood rail and mounted them on my fence all around my back yard. I purchased a timer transformer that was big enough to run 36 lights. I splice all the lights together and hid all the wire behind the rails. Just make sure your new transformer has a 12volt D.C. output. Most digital timers are A.C. output and will not function well with LED lighting.
