They looked like wood. They're' plastic. Someone else had a difficult time putting the base on. Watch out for an indentation on one side of the base, and a raised strip of plastic on the other side (the part that goes into the bird's belly). Line those up with the barely-see-able "keyholes" of the same in the bird's belly. We purchased two. Neither would allow the base to fit into the bird fully. There's about ¼" that won't go in. I'm afraid to push harder, in case I crack either the base or the bird's belly. A modest tap does light up the bird. Three color temperatures? I don't think so. I saw bright, dim, then bright again. You can hold the 'on' switch and it'll dim down further. Maybe that's what they meant. Anyway, it's made in China by "GuangZhou HaoXi DianZi ShangWu YouXian GongSi." I wish Americans - at least ones who care about the quality of their work - would get into manufacturing again. We USED to have a good reputation. Instead, we sold out for short-term MONEY. Now we pay for it in shoddy goods. Congratulations, America. This item is a prime example.

I loved the idea of this Deogos bird lamp the moment I saw it, and in person it’s just as cute. It’s a perfect small accent light for a bookshelf, nightstand, or desk, and every time someone comes over they comment on how charming it looks. The warm yellow glow is my favorite. It gives a soft, cozy ambience without being too bright.It also holds a charge for a surprisingly long time, which is a huge plus for a cordless light. No wires, no clutter, and easy to move around.The only drawback is the touch sensor. You have to tap the bird on the head to turn it on or change the color temperature, and the sensor isn’t very sensitive. More than once I’ve found myself tapping (okay, lightly smacking) the bird repeatedly to get it to respond. It’s cute, but it can be a little frustrating when you’re trying to turn on the lamp in the dark.Still, the size, charm, and soft lighting outweigh the minor annoyance. If you want a whimsical little glow for a shelf or bedside table, it’s a sweet addition. Just be prepared to give the bird a couple of taps to wake it up.

Love these so much I have 2! We use one to light our coffee area 1st thing in the morning and i use 1 to read in bed and walk around with the 2nd at night if my husbands sleeping lol

This is adorable but it’s extremely hard to insert the charger & equally difficult to remove it. A full charge at the dimmest illumination only lasted 5 hours. I’m returning it & ordering a battery powered night light instead.

I like it, I just got it yesterday. I charged it up overnight. I haven't had a chance to use it yet. It will probably go in our camper as an accent light to use when we are going in and out of the camper of an evening to find something real quick without turning on an overhead light, if the big overhead light is left on, it would probably attract bugs around the door going in and out. I'm hoping the little bird light won't be so much of an attraction for the bugs especially if set on dim. The little bird lamp looks to be very well constructed.

Inexpensive and very cute, and exactly the size I needed. I knew that it would need occasional recharging, but I am very disappointed that I have to do it so frequently.

Personal choice only - a little brighter than expected when using it in the middle of the night. Use the warm setting to mute it a little.Otherwise, really nice looking

it depends what you want this for -- as a night light it is much too bright, and the tap thing to change the light is not easy - you have to find it and doesn't always work at first tap. So not a good night light. I wanted it to be in a window when I am not home, so it's good for that. It lights up the front hall window and looks nice from outside, but after several hours, you have to charge again, so useless if you don't charge every day. People charge their phone every day, but I want it to stay on so if you forget, not useful. Also the base keeps falling off when I bring it to charge. So, nice for a room if you keep it plugged in and on a single spot, which is good when you come home at night. or when you leave and want to keep a light on for your dog or cat. The price is good and the design is pretty, but it is much too bright for a bedroom nightlight.

This is a great light for doing close craft work like drawing etc. because the light shines down, it brightens the work area without shining in my eyes. Love using this little guy!!

I loved this light so much that I bought two for myself, then went back and purchased more for my mom and grandmother. We all love them!I will say that some of the light settings are a little too bright or harsh for my taste, so I recommend trying the different modes until you find the one you like best. Once you do, it's perfect.The battery life is impressive. After charging it, the light lasts a long time before needing to be recharged.I was also pleasantly surprised by the size. The birds are a nice, decent size and look beautiful on display. Overall, this has been a great purchase, and I'd definitely recommend it.

These are the cutest lamps ever! Went back and ordered a 2nd set! Very bright, well made, can use stand or hang from chain. One bird lights an entire room on any setting. This would be a great gift for anyone!!

It’s more like a 3.5/5 stars. I love it, it’s a great little lamp. I’ve been using it instead of the main lighting in my room because I prefer a softer, atmospheric look. It’s great for reading or other activities at night. I also love how easy it is to change between different light temperatures and brightness levels. However, it is a little lightweight and falls over easily if I knock it (also the ring chain that was attached has already come off, but I wasn’t planning to use that anyway). The battery life is also a little shorter than I anticipated, but this hasn’t been a huge problem. It usually lasts around 7 or 8 hours before I need to charge again. My biggest issue is that I wish that there was more of a warning before it dies. Currently, it just shuts off and I’m left to scramble to either plug it in or turn on a different light.

These bird lights are cute and practical. They give off more light than I expected from a battery powered lamp. The size is perfect for setting on a bedside table, and able to give off enough light to see pretty well without waking a sleeping partner. It has adjustable light levels which are attained just by pressing the on button. Having the on/off button on the birds head, easy to find in the dark, and makes it very easy to use.Although I have mine sitting on it's base, the hanging loop is a nice option if you wanted to hang it up.

PROS:There was no need of assembly. It was just take the bird out of the box, plug it in for a little, and you're good to go.The touch control is almost invisible unless you're looking for it. It is very intuitive and responsive.Both the tone and the brightness of the bird are adjustable, letting it fit in many different styles of decor. The color of the light can be changed from warm, buttery white to stark, snow white.The plastic on the bird looks much more like wood than it does plastic.The bird is battery based, so no need for a wire cluttering things up at all times.The charging is very fast, and it uses a common port.CONS:None!SUMMARY:This product is absolutely perfect for me. It is just so flexible in where and how it can be used that I ordered another one. this product is definitely worth the money.

These birds are a tad bit cheap looking but nevertheless have charm.Facts: No diffuser area as stated in the product description (I don’t miss that at all. I would never use it). There is so a tiny little hole below the on off button on their head that may be where essential oils are meant to be inserted. I wouldn’t wanna take a chance of that.The birdies must be charged when taken out of the box and before first use. Not sure how long a charge lasts.In addition to the plastic would like patterned stands, from the top of their neck there is gold chain and a ring, similar to a key ring, to hang the birds from…something… rather than use them on their stand if desired. This hook is attached to the bird by a screw eye hook, which can be unscrewed and removed leaving a tiny little hole in the bird (similar to the diffuser hole if that’s what that other hole is for).The stands themselves have grooves and notches on the bird and the stand that are meant to match up to be put into the base of the bird. I ordered two birds one of them works well. The top of the stand goes flush to the bird’s body. The other one does not it’s too tight a fit, and so there is a bit of the peg of the stand that remains outside the birds body.They’re adorable in size, smaller than they seem in the photographs, and yet they could be a tad smaller.The colors are quite nice. I got a set of “red” and “maple” None of it is real wood. It is all a kind of plastic.There are no instructions in the packaging.The closest you can come to instructions is what’s in the listing on Amazon.To power on and off, there is, flush to the surface of the bird, a traditional icon for an on/off. Tap this button and the light goes on at full brightness. Tap once and then a third time to cycle through the three different color temperatures.. when you land on the color temperature you prefer hold your finger on the power button without letting go and the light slow slowly dims; leave your finger gently on the on/off switch and the light scales down or up dimmest to the brightest.The brightest is quite bright in any color; too bright by my needs and standards. I would prefer very much of the light could be dimmed about three steps, less bright.Once they put together charged up and sitting somewhere on a bookshelf, or in a dark corner, lighting the hallway to the bathroom something along those lines, the birds are really quite adorable.
