Really nice and fun to use with all the settings and different possibilities!But.. After around 8 months of having them one segment of my lights wont show any blue. The blue is just barely there, which is a shame because I thought this brand wouldn't do that like the other brands.I have to go on the app and press on the base colors to fix it but seeing this problem has just started who knows how long that'll be a good solution.

I just love how I have so many different options to display my lights and set the mode in my room, you can create your own colors, use pictures and also AI generated images to display your own lights. I really enjoy using my phone for the remote control so I don’t have to constantly get up to change the settings. Once you download the app onto your phone it automatically changes everything. I’m glad I didn’t just choose any other option, glad I did my research and found a brand I liked.

I originally bought one of the 6.5' sets to try out. I kind of had an idea on the look I wanted.I loved everything about it that I bought 2 more, as well as this set that this review is under.This set is the one behind my TV. The 3 smaller sets are at the desk.1. I did read the reviews and found that the spacing of the LED's is wider. This is true, by almost twice as much. But in my situation I could loop this 10' string around the back of my TV twice. This is a 42" TV hanging 3 1/2" from the wall. The double loop around was actually enough to split the difference between the LED's so they wound up evenly spaced. It works perfect for me. Some of the preset scenes look strange. But they are not something I use anyway. Just mentioning that in case you care.2. This set SHOULD work plugged into your TV's USB port. But keep in mind that when your TV is off (most TV's), there is no power going to the USB port. So they will turn off and on with your TV. I prefer dedicated power via the power strip behind my TV. You can then have control over it with the TV off. I prefer this as I have "scenes" set up in the app for day/night.3. The App. THE APP!!!!!!! Holy h*ll they put together a very intuitive interface with a lot of features, without a mention of your credit card.I know.... you read somewhere else that the App is shady/intrusive/etc. because it requires Location Permissions. The reason for this is because the app connects to the lights via Bluetooth. In 2019 the Android system was redone in a way that requires ALL apps working through Bluetooth to have Location permission. It is not because of the app developer. It is because of the programming of ALL Android operating systems since 2019. Any other Permissions can be individually addressed via your Settings>App Settings screen of your phone or tablet. You can do this for all apps. But if it uses Bluetooth, Location permissions must be granted.What I love is the "Group" function within the app. You can link the lights you want together and assign different scenes. You can set up one touch scene changes by saving them. You can create your own scenes in the DIY section. You can break it down into segments on the same string! There's even timer functions, though I have not played with them yet.I got my first set a few weeks ago and I'm STILL playing with the app and learning stuff when I'm bored. :)Like I said, I bought one to "test it out" and should have bought all 4 sets at once.So far the adhesion has held up really well. I've been keeping an eye on where I made my bends but it's still holding. I THOROUGHLY cleaned the surface. It's key guys! I'm talking multiple swipes with some 90% rubbing alcohol. Though I'm sure the little included swab would do the trick in a pinch. I didn't even use it. Went with my overkill approach. Another key is to not remove the protective backing all at once before you install. Peel a bit back, get it started and pull the backing as you follow pressing firmly with your other hand. Get it CLEAN and take your time. A 10 yr old could do it.The ones at the desk are individually plugged into a cheaper stand alone 6 port USB box for power. It gets pretty warm but that may be because I went cheap there. I don't suspect an issue with the lights because they have been on 24/7 since install and I have never noticed a fluctuation in brightness or flickers. Not once. I needed the USB box for my particular setup but the heat is borderline concerning. Just a bit warmer than expected. So if you plan a similar setup, just something to keep in mind.I have had no issues so I can't comment to the Company itself or their service. But they arrived as scheduled.... Quick. Instructions are clear and easy to figure out. And for a $20 set of good quality lights, I'd say they have their $h!t together. These aren't just some "cheap" string of LED's. You'd expect to find at least one flaw between 4 different sets with the "cheap" guys. I will be purchasing more products from these guys in the future.As you can see.... I give this a HUGE thumbs up! 5 Stars so far! I'll update if I do have an issue.If you're reading this, there's a reason.BUY EM!

This RGB light strip by Govee is wonderful , easy installation, sticks really well to the wall and make corners . Any color you could possible want , they are bright and they look clean .Govee home app is must have for these lights , easy app setup . Only issue I ran into was on the app side of things . When I closed out the app and reopen it , my led strip wasn’t there and it wanted me to repair it . So I close out the app again reopened it and my RGB led strip light I originally paired was there and worked perfect And no issue after that.theres a bunch of effects and you can also customize your effect with the app and very easy to do . A must have for gamers room , man cave , movie theater room or office or a space your just trying to add some RGB vibes . I’m also had other brand of RGB led strips so far Govee my favorite .

The 16.4-foot strip looks really good. Bright. Clean colors. The Govee app gives you plenty to work with over Bluetooth. BUT. It does not connect to Wi-Fi. Big bummer. I like the lights. I just wish the smart control was not limited to Bluetooth.

For the price, you can’t beat this lighting solution especially if you’re already apart of the Govee ecosystem; however this product alone is not going to work for anyone needing a lighting solution for high traffic areas. This light could still work, but a channel light housing would be necessary to protect it.

I have several of these strip lights above and below my kitchen cabinets and love them. You can change the colors for the seasons or for your mood. They are so easy to install and use via bluetooth control. If you need or want strip lights the only ones to buy are from Govee.

I put these under my computer desk and around the back of my window curtains in the office. I didn't know what I wanted to do with color before installing them, but I wanted to leave my options open. Right now they're all set to solid blue.You can see the individual LEDs rather than a smooth line of light, but mine are positioned so you only see the glow and not the diodes themselves. They create a great atmosphere. The ones behind the curtains throw a really cool pattern on the ceiling because of the folds in the fabric.The adhesive held perfectly under the desk. I'm less sure about the painted, slightly textured wall around the window, though I'm not too fussed about it since there are plenty of solutions if it lets go.The app was easy. It found the new devices without any trouble and the controls are straightforward and suit my needs fine.These are Bluetooth and app only with no Alexa support. I think there are workarounds but I haven't looked into it much. Even if I never integrate them with anything else, they're mainly static and always on. I bought them for the price and the performance, and that's what I got.

I’ve purchased about a dozen of these over the last few years for use in various areas of my house. They are fairly bright and very efficient. The ability to color change adds a bit of fun to every situation. To me it’s better than spot lots or high hats.

This Govee LED strip is excellent, easy to install, and provides so many variants of colors and patterns. Initally had bought a Meross LED strip - which had only greens, reds and yellows and was so limited despite advertising multi-colors. Returned the more expensive Meross, and ordered Govee - this strip is simply outstanding.

These lights are great, so many colors and they stay on the wall. My son has had the same lights for many many years and they are still going strong.That’s why I bought them and the price is great.

READ!! I'll repeat it, READ, the description. If you are a regular Govee product user and have items at home that you control on the app, when you're away from home, this is not something you want. These work just fine. I installed them under the kitchen cabinet and they provide a nice amount of light. The issue for me is, you cannot connect them to Google home device or Alexa. Again, this was my fault for not reading the description.

This is a great product. Has the functions of a led strip that should be 3 times the price. They worked right out of the box, are easy to set up, and have vibrant colors with lots of effects. Very good product, would highly recommend!

You can't beat the price for what you get. I have Govee strips and the Govee lights for behind your TV (without the cam). Govee seems to be doing great with producing quality without robbing us! The ability to have so many colors in one area makes whatever you're using it on look amazing - so immersive! I got mine to use inside my house and they just make the entire room pop! It's so helpful that they took care of how your gonna get em to stick and provided the adhesive side - ready to go. Just make sure you clean whatever your going to stick it to first! The app has so many different settings, it can be overwhelming at times - but it's easy to get used to once you've been around it a few times. Just make sure you check the box for what it is compatible with - it is different with different products. Some connect to Google Home, some connect to Alexa, etc. So just read the box or description before you buy!

The Day Better kit worked for me though I will add a few tips I learned that helpEd me that may help future buyers .1) if you don’t need IP65 waterproof where you are installing them, consider Getting regular strips... the Silicon has tended to make my very simple indoor van installation quite a royal pain with the available connectors out there.. I used the waterproof not because it was outdoors but it was running near roof cavity’s that do potentially sweat In outdoor temp changes etc or fingers grab looking for things and dust accumulation Etc to cause problems which the silicone protects against but in my case if I had it to do over I would try the the sturdiest non waterproof set available as the connector kits out there are much more plug and play and unless you’re installing a lot of these and don’t mind buying large kits of spare parts to have around for troubleshooting options and creative installs it gets expensive trying to make a basic install work and get good connections with these waterproof strips if you are turning corners or needing wire runs to different sections of light strip.2) if you estimate you need the 16ft kits get the 32 ft at least... trust me in experienced in electrical and finicky installs and some of the connections go smooth and work like candy but suddenly when you start cutting and recurring strips because your piercing style connectors are junk , you need more strip to go through until you get experienced.3) if you want bright light go with the more lights per inch strips.. I wanted to save overall amp draw and only needed mood/ambience so I got the less lights per inch.. but it has dimmer settings... so unless you know you only want mood brightness get the denser lit strip and turn it up and down you will have more bright light capabilities.3) take care to cut the ends perfect. The ends being even make all the difference inside the connections4) if using the strip to 4 wire harness piercing style connectors, use an electrical tester at each leg/each side of every connection you make. Leave the strip end coming from the controller connection on and connect to the strip then test the lead end side of the connectors to make sure you have voltage. Then connect section of wire and test the wire end before connecting to another section of light strip test the far side of the connector where the next strip is going.. with the lights on then you will often get a connection just by touching the strip end to the connector.5 ) on connectors. You will go through so many connectors getting good fits on the piercing variety for waterproof strips get plenty.Tips others have posted about , helps to use a spare connector to pierce your wires and sometimes your strip first so you don’t damage or wear out a connector that you intend to be permanently in the circuit...I even cut a little bit of light strip with wire on it to use as the tester and pre piercing connector when connecting a set of wires to a strip end.Pulling on the wire a bit helps to make a good connection at times. Be very meticulous cutting the ends of the connectors.Finally for strip to strip or strip to wire connectors consider getting the kind made to slip under the prongs that’s are more designed for the non waterproof kind but some say waterproof because they will house the raised curve of the silicone when closed but the connection method is the same as non waterproof strips and is non piercing.. you simply have to work the end where you’ve cut the strip like you’re peeling the adhesive but instead you gently get the silicone to lift off the backing tape that is the circuit and expose the contacts and slip that under the connector tongs and let the silicone come back down and close the connector.. possibly wire solder the other end if you want a strip to wire connection... although for a novice soldering it wouldn’t be easy..Basically don’t get waterproof ones unless you have a lot of extra strip to work with and ruin or unless you really need the waterproof kind...Maybe consider inventing a better strip to wire connector for these waterproof strips because they are all junk!Hope this helps.

I always liked the govee products, I got my first introduction to govee in 2020 by the fancy flashing lights playing behind the tv with help from the camera, I had to get them and more stuff along the way, these are on the lower end of the govee line up, I sync 5 different sets of lighting to thier dream view, that’s the good stuff right there, allowing the rest of the room to get in on the lighting in sync with the tv, I understand these were add ons and not govees best but I decided to try them out since it’s not really time to be spending with what’s going on in the world, Govee I’m overall a very satisfied customer, but please be careful on the build quality, the lower end stuff feels a little on the cheap side, I know times are hard but let’s not sell the cheap stuff, because there is air of cheap junk it there, I wouldn’t want to see you guys competing with those, it’s probly time soon for some sync box upgrading, glad to see the hdmi2.1, but would love to see some potential future proof items, get a 2.2 going before the others do, maybe some display and hdmi system, there’s pretty decent priced matrix and switches out there, would be nice to have an all in one complete version, so we don’t have to put together our own.

Work just fine as long as you’re careful!I don’t often write reviews, but I thought it could be helpful information since I’ve been through a few sets of these lights.Pros:- Good, easy to use app- Bright, responsive lights- Great customer service- Low price, especially for the lengthCons:- Fairly easy to tear/break- Cannot use solderless connectors to navigate corners (to my understanding)- Hit or miss functionality- Not Alexa compatible (which is stated in description)I’ve purchased three sets of these lights, ultimately they are good you just have to be careful.1. The first one worked ok for a while, but they stopped working, presumably, after my cat bit part of it2. I ordered another set since they had been working fine until my cat got to it. When I received this one, it was clearly not programmed correctly or there was some other technical issue with it as it would not respond to the app, though the app would say it was connected and would flash random colors in random different sections. I contacted customer service who walked me through some troubleshooting and ultimately sent me a new set, which arrived very quickly, which was greatly appreciated.3. The third set arrived and seemed to function just fine. After installing them in the same way that I had installed the first set of lights, they soon ended up tearing at a turn point (I used their suggested technique for navigating corners) and no longer worked past that section. I tried to find any solderless connectors that I could use (now that I had at least two sets of partially working lights) however I could not find any that would be compatible (which makes sense given these are RBGIC lights and Govee themselves also stated this to be the case)Ultimately, I don’t think I will buy another set and will probably just spend a little extra for a different set of light strips, likely from the same brand since a different model I’ve used before (TV backlights) has worked well and is Alexa compatible. Plus, Govee’s app is easy to use and has a nice UI.
